Following his sold-out appearance at this year's Cheltenham Jazz Festival, vocalist and pianist Theo Jackson comes to Manchester for the only North West date of his first UK tour.
Theo's performances bring a mix of familiar jazz standards from the likes of Thelonious Monk, John Coltrane and Charlie Parker alongside his own original songs which take inspiration from the timeless writing of Duke Ellington and Stevie Wonder.
His energetic and engaging performance style has seen Theo become a regular fixture at many of London’s most prestigious venues including The 606 Jazz Club and The Pizza Express Jazz Club.
Theo will be accompanied by the award-winning saxophonist Nathaniel Facey from the band Empirical, plus his regular rhythm section of Shane Allessio on double-bass and Jason Reeve on drums. Expect sizzling swing and great interaction from these exciting young musicians.
